Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting for a Car & LCV Technician near Chorley, Lancashire. This full-time, permanent role offers a modern workshop, great equipment and strong career progression within a respected automotive business.

The successful candidate will service and repair cars and vans, diagnose faults with advanced tools, perform mechanical work including brakes, gearboxes and electrical systems, and ensure quality workmanship with a focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light/Commercial Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Proven experience as Car & LCV Technician with strong diagnostic capability.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own a comprehensive set of tools.
• Organised, motivated and quality-focused.
• Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repairs on cars and vans to high standards.
• Diagnose faults with diagnostic tools and manufacturer software.
• Perform mechanical repairs including brakes, clutches, gearboxes, engines and electrical systems.
• Service and repair trailers when required.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and inspections.
• Perform roller brake testing and fault diagnosis.
• Maintain detailed job cards and parts used.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols in the workshop.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional standards.
• Communicate needs with Workshop Supervisor.
