Job summary

The Spinney in Atherton, part of Elysium Healthcare, is looking for a Part-time Receptionist. You’ll greet visitors, manage the diary for meetings and events, and handle calls, emails and post with a friendly, professional manner.

Working 22.5 hours per week, you’ll help maintain a secure, welcoming reception, supervise visitor sign-ins and ensure confidentiality while supporting a multidisciplinary team at a purpose-built care setting for male patients.

Qualifications

• Communication and interpersonal skills.

You are the first face and first conversation visitors to The Spinney in Atherton will experience. Your warm and friendly personality will shine through as you greet and assist staff, visitors and service users.

What you will be doing

In this exciting role at The Spinney a service for settings for male patients with personality disorder and/or mental illness. The purpose-built medium, low secure and rehabilitation wards each day brings different challenges and experiences. Working 22.5 a week along side the reception team your key responsibilities will be welcoming all visitors in a friendly manner, co-ordinating the office diary for meetings and events and efficiently handling telephone calls, emails and post.

Ensuring the safety and security of service users, staff and visitors is a top priority. You’ll oversee visitor sign ins, conduct security checks and manage the distribution of keys and security badges.

Where you will be working:

Location: Everest Road, Atherton, Manchester, M46 9NT

You will be working at The Spinney, a service which offer a range of care settings for male patients with personality disorder and/or mental illness. The purpose-built medium, low secure and rehabilitation wards, as well as a psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) are all set within an 11 acre site with extensive woodland and landscaped areas.

You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team at The Spinney who have previously been recognised by the Association of Psychological Therapies (APT) for their ability to reinforce positive behaviour, prevention of challenging behaviour and successful interventions in a secure care setting.
