TEEM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dependable School Caretaker / Site Manager to support the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy school in Accrington. You will help maintain a safe, secure, clean and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

The role requires practical, organised, and independent workers who can also contribute as part of the wider school team. You will manage maintenance, health and safety records, assist with events, liaise with contractors and ensure the site

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily upkeep, maintenance and security of the school site, including opening and locking up the school.
• Maintain accurate records relating to maintenance, compliance, health and safety, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks.
• Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance duties.
• Undertake basic DIY tasks; experience in painting and decorating would be advantageous.
• Ensure the school premises remain clean, safe and fully operational.
• Liaise with contractors and oversee works carried out on site.
• Assist with setting up rooms and supporting site logistics for school events and activities.
• Support the school's compliance procedures, including asbestos awareness and site safety monitoring.
• Identify and report any maintenance, health and safety, or security issues promptly.
• Help ensure the school site is maintained to a high standard at all times.
• Respond proactively to any issues that may affect the safety, security or smooth operation of the school.
