We’re looking for caring, confident and reliable Support Workers to join our team, supporting children and young people across a range of services.
You could be working in a short breaks/respite service, residential children’s home or supported living setting, providing day-to-day support to young people with complex needs, autism and learning disabilities.
Every shift will be different. One day you could be supporting a young person with an activity or trip into the community, another could involve helping with routines, personal care or simply providing reassurance and consistency when they need it most.
The important thing is that you bring the right attitude, patience and commitment to making a genuine difference.
Providing warm, person-centred support to children and young people.
Supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs.
Helping with daily routines, personal care and practical tasks where required.
Supporting communication and encouraging young people to express their choices and preferences.
Building positive, trusting relationships.
Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour.
Encouraging independence, confidence and life skills.
Supporting activities, education and community opportunities.
Following individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
Working alongside colleagues, families and other professionals.
Creating a safe, positive and enjoyable environment where young people can thrive.
You don’t need to have done exactly the same job before, but you do need experience working with children or young people and a genuine interest in supporting those with additional needs.
