Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking skilled excavator operatives for a National Grid infrastructure project. You will operate tracked/wheeled 360 excavators, perform site-safe excavations near utilities, and follow RAMS and permits to work.

Daily plant checks and collaboration with groundworkers and site engineers are essential. Candidates must hold up-to-date CPCS/NPORS with CSCS, EUSR Water credentials, and CSCS for Right to Work in the UK.

Qualifications

• CPCS or NPORS (CSCS logo) for 360 Excavator (above/below 10t) required.
• National Grid Electricity Contractors Scheme credential required.
• EUSR SHEA Water and Blue Card (National Water Hygiene) required.
• Utility Excavations qualification/competency endorsement required.
• Valid CSCS and Right to Work in the UK required.

Key Responsibilities

Operating tracked/wheeled 360 excavators safely and efficiently in line with site constraints.

Carrying out precise excavations in the vicinity of underground electricity, water, and gas assets.

Following site permits to work, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS).

Conducting mandatory daily plant inspections, walkarounds, and reporting any defects.

Working closely with groundworkers, banksmen, and site engineers.

Mandatory Tickets & Qualifications

Candidates

must hold valid, up-to-date certifications for the following prior to arriving on site:
