Metro Rod Norwich is seeking a plumber-focused engineer to perform plumbing works and assist with reactive drainage tasks. The role offers a competitive salary (£33,000–£38,000) with on‑call duties, overtime, and benefits, plus ongoing training and opportunities to gain specialist leak detection skills.

The successful candidate should be flexible, eager to learn, and customer‑focussed, with the ability to work in a dynamic drainage and leak detection environment and progress within the team.

Qualifications

• Proven plumbing experience (and ideally NVQ Level 2 qualification)
• Full UK driving license
• Strong customer service skills
• Problem solving skills
• Positive and proactive approach to work and customer service
• Willingness and interest in learning drainage services
• Able to participate in an on-call rota system

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing works and support reactive drainage call-outs and related works as part of a varied day-to-day role.
• Be available for an on-call rota with overtime paid at 1.5x the standard rate.
