Job summary

Able Group is a leading nationwide reactive maintenance company, seeking heating engineers to join on a self-employed/contracting basis to cover reactive work. You will handle jobs with a focus on quick, efficient resolutions and provide quotes with alternatives when needed.

Candidates must hold Gas Safe Card (front and back) and ACS certificates (CCN1, CENWAT, CEN1, CPA1) with a valid Health and Safety qualification, and ideally a Risk Assessment qualification.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe Card (front and back) and ACS certificates evidencing CCN1, CENWAT, CEN1, CPA1.
• Own works vehicle to travel to and from job.
• Willing to cover emergency/time-sensitive works, during normal hours as well as evenings and weekends.
• Be polite and professional in conduct.
• Be clean and tidy on all works.
• We work with domestic clients as well as Estate Agents, Housing Associations and Facility/Property Management.
• Health and Safety Qualification.
• Risk Assessment Qualification (preferred not essential).

Responsibilities

• Be confident and able to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Provide quotes and alternative solutions on jobs when required.
• Carry sufficient stock to complete basic replace/refit work.
• Advertise across major digital platforms so you don’t have to.
• Be willing to cover emergency/time-sensitive works, during normal working hours as well as evenings and weekends.
