Job summary

ARC Group is seeking a qualified Reactive Domestic Electrician to work in occupied and void social housing properties in Wisbech. You will perform electrical fit-outs, replace accessories, fault find, upgrade consumer units, install fans and smoke detectors, and conduct full or partial rewires.

You will also carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports, liaise with tenants and clients, manage van stock, use PDAs on-site, and adhere to IET Wiring Regulations, site safety standards and

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical installation.
• City & Guilds 2361 Part 1 & 2 qualification.
• 2391 test and inspect certification or equivalent.
• 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations qualification.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electrical systems in domestic properties to a high standard per The IET Wiring Regulations.
• Inspect, test and certify electrical installations; issue the correct certificates.
• Liaise with customers daily to ensure excellent service quality.
• Manage van stock and order parts tailored to the job.
• Use handheld PDAs to receive and close out job orders.
• Adhere to company policies and health & safety procedures.

Job description

Job Title: Reactive Electrician

Salary: £37,000-£39,000 per annum plus company van DOE

Our client, a large social housing contractor, is seeking a qualified Reactive Domestic Electrician to work in occupied and void properties undertaking electrical fit outs. You will be responsible for replacing accessories, fault finding, consumer unit upgrades, installing fans, smoke detectors, full and partial rewiring, and Electrical Installation Condition Reports in domestic properties.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install service and maintain electrical systems and appliances in domestic and commercial properties to a high-quality standard in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations.
• Install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate for the task.
• Excellent customer care qualities are vital to this role. You will be expected to liaise with customers and clients daily.
• You will be expected to manage and order van stock which will be tailored to your requirements.
• Competent use of handheld PDA's is required to receive and complete job orders.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Ensure company H&S procedures are followed

Experience, Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience within social housing
• A good basic understanding of site-based Health & Safety
• Relevant qualifications - e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, City & Guilds 2361 Part 1 & 2
• 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
• Driving licence
• 2391 test and inspect
