Job summary

ARC (Norwich) Ltd is seeking a qualified Reactive Domestic Electrician to work in occupied and void social housing properties. The role covers electrical fit-outs, replacing accessories, fault finding, consumer unit upgrades, and installing fans and detectors, plus conducting Electrical Installation Reports.

You will need NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, 18th Edition, City & Guilds 2361 Parts 1 & 2, 2391 testing, a driving licence, and the ability to manage van stock while liaising with customers.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and a solid grounding in domestic electrical work.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and City & Guilds 2361 Part 1 & 2 are required.
• 2391 testing and inspection competence is expected.
• Full driving licence is essential for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Install, fault find, and maintain electrical services in domestic and void properties.
• Replace accessories, upgrade consumer units, and install fans and detectors.
• Complete Electrical Installation Certificates to current standards.
• Liaise with customers and coordinate van stock for job orders.
• Adhere to health and safety policies on every job.

Job description

Our client, a large social housing contractor, is seeking a qualified Reactive Domestic Electrician to work in occupied and void properties undertaking electrical fit outs. You will be responsible for replacing accessories, fault finding, consumer unit upgrades, installing fans, smoke detectors, full and partial rewiring, and Electrical Installation Condition Reports in domestic properties.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Install service and maintain electrical systems and appliances in domestic and commercial properties to a high-quality standard in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations.

Install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate for the task.

Excellent customer care qualities are vital to this role. You will be expected to liaise with customers and clients daily.

You will be expected to manage and order van stock which will be tailored to your requirements.

Competent use of handheld PDA’s is required to receive and complete job orders.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Experience, Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience within social housing

A good basic understanding of site-based Health & Safety
