Job summary

Barker Ross are currently recruiting for FLT Reach Truck Drivers for an operation based in the Braunstone LE3 area. This is to work at an established mail sorting company.

Shift pattern is Sunday to Thursday, 6pm to 1:30am with occasional Friday overtime. The role involves stock control, Reach Truck operation, and recording stock movements in the electronic system. Ongoing work, weekly pay, and an immediate start are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT Reach Truck licence.
• Proven experience operating Reach Trucks in a warehouse or Goods In environment.
• Familiarity with electronic stock management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy during stock checks.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment and adhere to Health & Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Stock control within the mailing department, ensuring high location accuracy.
• Safely locate, move, and retrieve stock using a Reach Truck.
• Record all stock movements using the electronic stock management system.
• Conduct daily stock takes and assist with workplace organization.
• Deliver required materials and stock to machine operators in a timely manner.
• Control the accuracy and processing of Return to Stock items while supporting Goods In functions.
• Adhere to SSOW, wear PPE, and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

• Pattern: Sunday to Thursday - 6pm to 1:30am + OT on occasional Fridays

Key Responsibilities

• Stock Control: Manage stock within the mailing department, ensuring high location accuracy.
• FLT Operation: Safely locate, move, and retrieve stock using a Reach Truck.
• System Management: Accurately record all stock movements using the electronic stock management system.
• Auditing: Conduct daily stock takes and assist with workplace organization.
• Supply Line Support: Deliver required materials and stock to machine operators in a timely manner.
• Returns & Goods In: Control the accuracy and processing of 'Return to Stock' items while supporting general warehouse and Goods In functions.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Adhere to FLT Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), wear required PPE, and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

What We're Looking For

• Valid FLT Reach Truck licence.
• Proven experience operating Reach Trucks within a warehouse or Goods In environment.
• Familiarity with electronic stock management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy during physical stock checks.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict Health & Safety regulations.
• Excellent team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
