Job summary

BEDFORDPERM is recruiting on behalf of a well established family-owned client based in Flitwick for an experienced Reach Truck Driver to join the team.

You will load/unload, operate reach truck and PPT forklifts, and move stock within a busy warehouse. Must have Reach Truck Licence, excellent communication, and be flexible with hours and overtime.

Qualifications

• Must have Reach Truck Licence.
• Experience in warehouse operations and using MHE.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand or with MHE.
• Operate reach truck and PPT forklifts; move goods between departments.
• Pick & pack orders with scanners; ensure accuracy.
• Manage stock and prepare transfers for loading onto vehicles.
• Adhere to safety, quality and production standards.

Role: Reach Truck Driver

Location: Flitwick

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00AM – 17:30PM, Fridays 14:45PM

Salary: Up to £31,500 per annum, depending on experience.

Must Drive due to location

OA are currently working with a well established, family owned client based in Flitwick, currently looking to recruit for an experienced Reach Truck Driver, to join the team.

Duties of a Reach Truck Driver:

• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand or with MHE.
• Ability to operate PPT/ Forklift (reach truck and counterbalance)
• Occasional admin/office based responsibilities.
• Picking & packing orders for despatch ensuring a high level of accuracy using hand held scanners.
• Manage stock and prepare transfers for loading goods on to delivery vehicles.
• Operate within tightknit team of operatives and liaise with other departments.
• Ability to move between departments production/bulk/Ecommerce.
• Adhere to strict safety, quality and production standards

What we would like from you:

• Previous experience within a Warehouse environment
• MUST have a Reach Truck Licence
• Counterbalance, PPT, VNA is preferred also
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to do heaving lifting and loading
• Flexible with working hours and overtime
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• WMS experience essential
• Organised, pro-active & positive attitude.
