Job summary

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Reablement Support Worker to help people regain independence in their homes across the borough. You will work within our community teams to support daily living, develop social connections and promote wellbeing.

You’ll need the ability to engage with vulnerable people, build collaborative relationships with families and partner agencies, and commit to flexible working patterns across a seven-day service.

Qualifications

• Ability to engage with vulnerable people and build trust with clients and their networks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with families, carers, partner agencies and services.
• Flexibility to meet service demands, including varied shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to regain independence and adapt daily living skills at home.
• Promote wellbeing and social connections to help clients live independently.
• Work across Borough-wide services as part of a community-based reablement team.
