Job summary

Justteachers Ltd is seeking a passionate Religious Education Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Leeds area. This full-time role starts immediately and runs until the end of the academic year.

The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore beliefs, values and ethical issues while promoting respect for diverse cultures and perspectives. QTS is required and enhanced DBS with two references.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Religious Education in a UK secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for RE.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two school based references

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
• Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
• Contribute to the wider school community and ethos.
• Follow school policies on safeguarding, behaviour, and assessment.
