Job summary

GSF Car Parts is seeking a RDC Warehouse Operative to support stock for regional distribution. You will pick and pack orders, ensuring they are ready for delivery with accuracy and timeliness.

The role involves loading vans, checking deliveries, and handling returns. Working about 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday with alternate Saturdays, and there are benefits and progression opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment is preferred.
• Ability to pick and load vans accurately and on time.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
• Good communication and teamwork are important for success.
• Knowledge of car parts and the automotive industry is desirable.

Job description

At GSF Car Parts, our Warehouse Operatives play an important role within the team by always ensuring orders are picked and packed, and ready to be delivered to our customers. They are champions of customer service delivery through efficient coordination of warehouse stock and understand the importance of delivery timeframes. As an RDC Warehouse Operative, you will work within the Regional Distribution team supporting stock that is to be delivered to other branches.

Main Duties

• Checking and putting away supplier delivered parts


• Picking and loading vans accurately and in a timely manner


• Checking customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge


• Checking stock quantities are correct against computer whilst also checking stock is stored in the allocated bin locations

Working hours

45 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working

Key attributes

• A great track record working in a fast paced warehouse, or similar environment


• Ability to work well under pressure


• A good team player


• Work efficiently with good attention to detail


• Understand the necessity of customer service & working to deadlines


• Basic numeracy and literacy skills


• Good communication skills


• Knowledge of car parts and the automotive industry would be desirable
