Job summary

GSF Car Parts in Swansea is looking for an RDC Warehouse Operative to join the Regional Distribution team. You will support stock deliveries to other branches, ensuring orders are picked, packed and ready for dispatch, with attention to timeframes and accuracy.

You will handle stock checks, picking, loading vans, and checking returns, working Monday to Friday with alternate Saturdays. A great track record in fast-paced warehousing, good numeracy and communication skills, and an eye for detail

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or similar environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good team player with attention to detail.
• Strong numerical and literacy skills.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service focus.
• Knowledge of car parts would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Check and put away supplier delivered parts.

About The Role

At GSF Car Parts, our Warehouse Operatives play an important role within the team by always ensuring orders are picked and packed, and ready to be delivered to our customers. They are champions of customer service delivery through efficient coordination of warehouse stock and understand the importance of delivery timeframes.

As an RDC Warehouse Operative, you will work within the Regional Distribution team supporting stock that is to be delivered to other branches.

Main Duties Include

• Checking and putting away supplier delivered parts
• Picking and loading vans accurately and in a timely manner
• Checking customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge
• Checking stock quantities are correct against computer whilst also checking stock is stored in the allocated bin locations

Working Hours

Average hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working.

What you'll need to succeed

• A great track record working in a fast paced warehouse, or similar environment
• Ability to work well under pressure
• A good team player
• Work efficiently with good attention to detail
• Understand the necessity of customer service & working to deadlines
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of car parts and the automotive industry would be desirable
