Lyreco, the European leader in workplace solutions, seeks a Regional Distribution Centre Assistant Logistics Manager for our Doncaster site. You will provide relief cover to maintain reliable customer delivery and support holiday, sickness and training coverage.

Responsibilities include vehicle maintenance compliance, keeping personnel records, and leading monthly team meetings. You will instruct drivers on procedures, quality and security, and cover routes during staff absences or peak volumes.

Qualifications

• Hold a current full driving licence with no more than 6 minor offence penalty points.
• Working knowledge of tachographs and EU driving regulations relating to the working time directive.
• Be organised and flexible to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Smart personal appearance and good communication with customers.
• CRB check may be required.

• Ensure all vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, roadworthy and within legal requirements.
• Establish and maintain personnel files for all RDC staff and keep records up to date.
• Motivate staff and hold regular monthly meetings with all staff and produce minutes.
• Instruct drivers on procedures, quality and security for vehicles.
• Cover delivery routes for staff holidays and sickness and for ad hoc volume drops.

Regional Distribution Centre Assistant Logistics Manager

This is an outstanding opportunity to join Lyreco, one of the largest workplace solutions companies in the world. As a result of growth, we are seeking a Regional Distribution Centre Assistant Logistics Manager for our regional distribution Centre in Doncaster. As the Regional Distribution Centre Operations Manager, you will provide relief cover for holiday, sickness, and training at an RDC ensuring a reliable customer delivery service.

Responsibilities of a Regional Distribution Centre Assistant Logistics Manager include:

• To ensure all vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, are roadworthy and operate within legal requirements e.g., payload, tachograph, etc.
• Establish and maintain personnel files for all RDC staff and ensure records and information is kept up to date.
• Motivate staff and hold regular monthly meetings with all staff and produce minutes of these meetings.
• Ensure drivers are instructed on all aspects of the operation and vehicles including procedures, quality, and security.
• There will be a requirement to cover the delivery routes for staff holidays and absence as well as ad hoc volume drops.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Hold a current full driving license with no more than 6 minor offence penalty points.

• Have knowledge of tachograph and drivers’ hours regulations.
• You will be required to complete a CRB check.
• This job role requires regular contact with the company’s customer base.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Basic PC skills and knowledge of Word, Excel, etc.
