Job summary

Lyreco Group is seeking an experienced RDC Manager in the UK to lead our Regional Distribution Centre team. The role offers a Monday–Friday, 45-hour workweek with no weekend work, and a starting salary of £46,000 per annum.

You will drive operations, oversee drivers, and contribute to a sustainable EV fleet alongside a focus on work-life balance. The ideal candidate will manage staff, ensure vehicle compliance, and maintain strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Hold a current full C1 driving license with no more than 6 minor offence penalty points.
• Working knowledge of tachographs and EU driving regulations in relation to the working time directive.
• Be organized and flexible in approach to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Smart personal appearance is essential.
• Have knowledge of tachograph and drivers’ hours regulations.
• You will be required to complete a CRB check.
• This job role requires regular contact with the company’s customer base. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Team orientated.
• Basic PC skills and knowledge of Word, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

• To ensure all vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, are roadworthy and operate within legal requirements e.g., payload, tachograph, etc.
• Establish and maintain personnel files for all RDC staff and ensure records and information is kept up to date.
• Motivate staff and hold regular monthly meetings with all staff and produce minutes of these meetings.
• Ensure drivers are instructed on all aspects of the operation and vehicles including procedures, quality, and security.
• There will be a requirement to cover the delivery routes for staff holidays and absence as well as ad hoc volume drops.
