Job summary

Sharpsmart is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our team at the Normanton area with regular routes and a dedicated role in healthcare waste logistics.

You will collect clinical waste, load/unload, and engage professionally with customers while maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness. The role offers stable hours, Monday–Friday starts, and a competitive salary with overtime.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving & Class 2 License (Cat C) required.
• CPC certification required.
• Experience driving in similar environment.
• Strong customer focus and flexibility.
• ADR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect clinical waste from customer sites.
• Safely loading and unloading the vehicle.
• Interact with customers on arrival to sites.
• Ensure vehicle is clean and safe to drive.

As the face of Sharpsmart, our HGV drivers are quite literally our key workforce as they see our colleagues and customers every day. Driving is important to take our products from a to b but it’s equally important to be pleasant and friendly. That’s why we’re hiring an additional RCV Driver to join the team.

With regular routes from the Normanton plant, digital planning systems and your own lorry, the working days are busy but fulfilling knowing the work you’re doing is essential to our customers across the healthcare industry.

Your role as a Class 2 Driver involves:

• Collecting clinical waste from customer sites
• Safely unloading and loading the vehicle
• Interacting with customers on arrival to sites
• Making sure your vehicle is clean and safe to drive

What are we looking for?

• Full UK Driving & Class 2 (Cat C) License
• CPC
• Experience of driving within a similar environment
• A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• ADR (preferred)
