Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group in Carlisle is seeking a Senior Raw Materials Technologist to own raw material specifications, risk assessments and supplier compliance. You will ensure materials meet quality, safety and compliance standards and work with NPD, Process, Buying, suppliers and customers to bring new materials into the business.

You will evaluate materials, provide technical advice, and ensure specifications match what arrives on site, supporting audits and acting as the technical contact for

Qualifications

• Strong experience with raw material specifications and technical documentation.
• Good understanding of food quality, safety and compliance.
• Experience working with suppliers and supply bases.
• Ability to complete and understand risk assessments.
• Experience supporting or responding to technical audits.
• Attention to detail and confidence with data, spreadsheets and reports.
• Experience with M&S requirements is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Completing and maintaining raw material specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborating with NPD and Process teams on new products and raw materials.
• Assessing new materials and providing technical advice on suitability.
• Ensuring supplied materials meet agreed specifications and requirements.
• Supporting communication between suppliers, Buyers and customers on raw materials.
• Completing risk assessments and ensuring appropriate controls.
• Supporting audits and acting as the technical point of contact for raw materials.
• Working across Technical, NPD, Process, Buying and Supply Chain to uphold quality and food safety.
