Job summary

New England Seafood International (NESI) is seeking an Operative at Grimsby to join our quality and compliance team. You will inspect deliveries, assess raw materials, and ensure specifications, temperature controls, and allergen measures are followed.

The role involves data entry in the RMQA environment, calibration checks, and collaboration with the intake team to maintain the Approved Supplier Matrix. Shift patterns include early morning starts and alternating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Inspection of vehicles onto site post security checks to ensure cleanliness of deliveries and temperatures are within specification.
• Ensure all batches of raw materials are fully assessed for quality and legality.
• Assess all batches of packaging against approved versions and specifications.
• Inspect batches of ingredients to confirm they match specifications and prevent cross-contamination of allergens.
• Collect relevant samples of raw material and ingredients for microbiological assessment.
• Submit supplier non-conformances when issues are identified at raw material stage and forward to suppliers.
• Create and manage supplier non-conformances for further processed materials.
• Assist in providing data for external KPI reports with timely, complete information.
• Be a key stakeholder for the K2/Business Central intake system and ensure timely sign-off of intakes.
• Maintain external storage facilities at correct temperatures throughout shifts.
• Manage the supplier non-conformance log and enable data trending on request.
• Conduct organoleptic assessment of raw materials on delivery to site.
• Work with intake to keep the Approved Supplier Matrix up to date and reflect current supplier status.
• Keep the RMQA facility clean and in good repair and perform calibration checks as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Shift pattern includes every other Saturday.
• Shift 05:00 - 13:30 Monday to Saturday.
• Shift B 06:30 - 15:30 Monday to Thursday.
• You will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by changing roles and objectives of the organisation.
