The Opportunity

The role is based in a fast-paced chilled food environment, requiring initiative and quick thinking. A Raw Materials Technologist plays a key role in ensuring that factory materials are safe, approved, monitored, and that actions are taken to prevent poor quality materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support in approving Bradgate’s raw material portfolio, including packaging, to ensure legality, food safety, integrity, and quality of all incoming raw materials.
• Assist NPD, procurement, process development, operational, planning, and quality teams with raw material management.
• Ensure controls are in place for right first-time delivery of raw materials, including specifications, quality standards, inspections, and KPI management of suppliers.
• Apply relevant standards from Bradgate / Samworth Brothers, customers, and legal requirements to raw materials and packaging issues.
• Conduct supplier visits and audits, follow up on issues, report findings, and manage responses for improvements.
