Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Raw Material Planner for Top Fruit and Grapes to own the end-to-end supply plan with the Buying Manager and growers. You will ensure products reach customers at the perfect moment by coordinating seasonal fruit ranges across the UK and worldwide.

You'll collaborate with fruit demand planning, manage stock, waste, and markdowns, and protect quality and freshness through to customers. Regularly liaising with growers and internal teams, you will track forecasts and drive

Qualifications

• Track record of planning fresh produce categories within retail or wholesale.
• Fluent in sales curves, WSSI/OTB and root cause analysis.
• Confident negotiator to secure availability and value during peak seasons.
• Passion for produce and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Plan and control seasonal fruit ranges across the UK and the rest of the world, including finished goods or raw materials at Myton sites and remote locations.
• Collaborate with fruit demand planning and our grower base to deliver on time and in full.
• Manage stock, availability, waste/shrink and markdowns for all products in collaboration with internal teams.
• Partner with growers and internal teams to protect quality, freshness and sustainability through to customers.
• With the Buying Manager, meet regularly with fruit growers/suppliers and be the main daily order planning contact.
• Work closely with the demand planning role to monitor forecasts vs actual orders and contribute to long-term forecasting.
• Set up supplier KPI meetings with the Buying Manager and monitor performance.
• Keep planning administration up to date and shared with the Myton Produce Team.

More About The Role

As our Raw Material Planner for Top Fruit and Grapes, you’ll own the end to end supply plan hand in hand with the Buying Manager and our brilliant growers, you’ll make sure the right products reach the right customers at the perfect moment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Plan and control seasonal fruit ranges across the UK and the rest of the world. This could be finished goods or raw materials both on Myton manufacturing sites and remote grower/supplier locations
• Work in collaboration with fruit demand planning and our grower base to deliver on time and in full
• Work in collaboration with internal teams to manage stock, availability, waste/shrink and markdowns for all the products
• Partner with growers and internal teams to protect quality, freshness and sustainability all the way through to our customers
• Alongside the Buying Manager, have regular meetings with all the fruit grower/supplier base and be the main point of contact for daily order planning
• Work closely with the demand planning role in fruit to monitor forecasts versus actual orders and look at long term forecasting for all our growers, to be shared in regular review meetings
• Work with the Buying Manager to set up supplier KPI meetings and regularly monitor performance
• Make sure all planning administration is up to date and easily shared and understood by the wider Myton Produce Team
