Job summary

ABP UK in Glasgow is seeking a QA-focused professional to ensure raw material quality, authenticity, legality and overall food safety. You will verify labelling and documentation, recording checks and escalating non-conformances as needed to maintain high standards.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the role requires prior QA experience in a busy production environment and strong interpersonal skills to multitask within a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Food Safety level 2 required.
• Basic IT skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete quality, food safety & labelling checks on raw materials.
• Record checks promptly and report non-conformances to ensure prompt action.
• Inform Senior QA and Technical on Food Safety & Quality issues.
• Communicate deviations from Quality Standards to line management.

Role Definition

Based at Penston and reporting to the Technical Manager, the post holder will be accountable for ensuring product raw material quality, authenticity, legality and food safety. Ensuring delivery of products to our customers is of the highest standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Completion of Quality, food safety & labelling checks on raw material


• Recording of checks in a timely manner and reporting of non-conformances through the correct channel to ensure prompt action as required.


• Inform Senior QA and Technical on Food Safety & Quality issues.


• Communicate to line management any deviation from Quality Standards as defined by the Company or its customers.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a background within a busy production environment. The candidate will enjoy challenging, problem-solving roles and be ideally suited to a fast-paced environment. The candidate should have good interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task.
