Warwickshire County Council’s Rights of Way Team is seeking a practical Ranger / Volunteer Coordinator to support maintenance and improvement of public rights of way across the county. Based at Budbrooke Depot, you will supervise volunteer groups, coordinate works and help ensure routes remain accessible, safe and well maintained.

Qualificações

• Practical, outdoorsy person with safety focus.
• Ability to plan, supervise minor works and training.
• Experience using power tools with certification is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out practical works to open, maintain and improve public rights of way, including gates, stiles, bridges, surfacing and drainage.
• Plan, programme and supervise work undertaken by volunteer groups.
• Provide on-site training and supervision to volunteers, including safe tool use.
• Ensure volunteer activity and works comply with health and safety requirements and risk assessments.
• Liaise with volunteer groups and partners to deploy volunteers effectively.
• Provide logistical support for tools, equipment and materials.
• Manage assets required for service delivery including vehicles and tools.
• Liaise and negotiate with landowners on access and related matters.
