Job summary

EAST OF ENGLAND CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY LIMITED is seeking a hands-on Range & Format Project Co-ordinator to join our Operations team on a 10-month fixed-term contract, supporting new store openings and refits across our family of businesses.

You will help stock shelves, merchandise layouts, move equipment, and ensure every store is ready to trade, coordinating with store teams and external partners. Previous retail experience and flexibility are essential.

Ever wondered what goes into opening a brand-new store or transforming an existing one? This is your chance to get right into the heart of it. We're looking for a hands-on, organised and adaptable Range & Format Project Co-ordinator to join our Operations team on a 10-month fixed-term contract, supporting new store openings and refits across our family of businesses. From getting shelves stocked and merchandise looking its best to helping move equipment, coordinate store setups and make sure everything is ready for customers, you'll play a key part in turning plans into reality. No two projects will be quite the same. You'll work alongside our store teams, Central Operations and external partners, helping make sure every project runs smoothly and each store is ready to trade.

• Bringing stores to life: Supporting new store openings and refits, helping turn empty spaces and project plans into fully operational stores.
• Getting the details right: Merchandising stock in line with planograms and space plans, ensuring products are presented in the right place and ready for customers.
• Keeping things moving: Transporting stock, fixtures and equipment between locations, helping projects stay on track.
• Making the transition seamless: Supporting store teams before, during and after projects, ensuring a smooth handover into day-to-day trading.

We're looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck in, takes pride in their work and thrives in a role where every day can bring something different.

You’ll ideally have previous retail experience, particularly in store operations or merchandising, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, organisation and attention to detail really matter.

You’ll also bring:

• A full UK driving licence and the confidence to drive a van or Transit van.
• A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to adapt when plans change.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of colleagues and partners.
• An eye for detail and the ability to follow store layouts, planograms and merchandising plans.
• A flexible approach to working hours, including early starts, late finishes and occasional weekends when projects require it.

Experience supporting store openings or refits would be a bonus, but what matters most is your willingness to get involved and help deliver great results.
