Job summary

MacGregor Black, on behalf of a leading UK wholesale and FMCG business, is seeking an experienced Range Manager to own end-to-end range review programmes across designated categories.

The role requires coordinating with Buying, Category, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure range changes are planned, communicated and delivered on time, with measurable commercial and customer benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading range reviews and optimisation.
• Strong understanding of assortment planning and category management principles.
• Commercially minded with a customer-focused approach.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects with Buying, Supply Chain, Operations and Commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual and periodic range review programmes across assigned categories.
• Partner with Buying and Category teams to align range strategies with commercial objectives.
• Establish project plans, timelines, milestones and governance for range reviews.
• Use sales, customer and operational data to support range recommendations.
• Lead and manage the Range Team to deliver against objectives.
• Coordinate activity across Buying, Supply Chain, Operations, Depots and File Maintenance.
• Develop implementation plans for new products, delistings and transitions.
• Identify risks and dependencies related to range changes.
