Job summary

Meridian Space UK Limited is seeking a RAN & Core Integration Engineer to drive the hardware and software environments used to validate the Meridian architecture. You will build, operate, and automate critical testing infrastructure, including the 5G NTN testbed and the upcoming Space Lab with the FCL satellite.

This hands-on role requires strong 5G/NNT knowledge, lab automation skills, and collaboration with RAN, RF, and systems teams to ensure end-to-end coherence of the solution and robust

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, telecommunications or a related field.
• Deep understanding of 3GPP NG-RAN and 5G Core (5GC) architectures, interfaces, and protocols.
• Hands-on experience in designing, procuring hardware for, and building complex testbeds or lab environments.
• Solid grasp of 5G NTN principles and LEO satellite communication link engineering challenges.
• Strong coding and scripting skillset (Python, Bash, C++) for lab automation and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design, procurement, and physical build-out of multi-stage 5G NTN testbeds and the Space Lab.
• Integrating 5G Core (5GC) and NG-RAN elements within lab environments for end-to-end functionality.
• Developing robust automation scripts and pipelines to streamline test execution and KPI measurements.
• Collaborating with RAN, RF, and systems architects to ensure end-to-end coherence of Meridian solutions.
