Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Manchester is seeking a BOH Supervisor to lead ramp and baggage handling, ensuring safety, efficiency and punctual flight turnarounds. You will oversee daily operations and collaborate with teams to meet strict standards.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will perform inspections, coordinate towing and de-icing in winter, and maintain high health and safety practices in all tasks. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• A full 5 year work/unemployment/education history.
• Valid Passport
• Proof of National Insurance
• Full and valid UK Driving Licence
• Criminal Record Check and Airside Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Undertake baggage sortation duties safely and efficiently.
• Carry out area hazard checks and aircraft inspections.
• Inspect equipment (pre-trip, daily & weekly) and report faults.
• Perform towing, pushback and headset duties with flight-deck communication.
• Operate GSE safely and de-ice aircraft in winter as trained.

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Team Leader, BOH Supervisor & BOH Duty Manager. Delivering high performance standards around all aspects of ramp and baggage handling, meeting the requirements of our customers and maintaining health and safety and overall good working practices in accordance to company policies and procedures at all times.

What you will be doing

• Undertake all relevant baggage sortation duties in a safe and efficient manner, setting up flights, using BRS & Brock scanner where required.
• Carry out area hazard checks.
• Carry out aircraft inspections.
• Carry out equipment inspections, pre-trip, daily & weekly.
• Report any faults or irregularities with equipment, facilities or processes to the appropriate Management.
• Carry out Towing, Pushback & Head-set duties, including communication with the flight deck, in accordance with the relevant training received.
• Operate position and remove all relevant company GSE required for our customer airlines, in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the relevant training received.
• During winter operation provide de-icing to customer airlines in accordance with the relevant training received.
