Longleat Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated Railway Team Member to help operate the Longleat Railway safely and deliver an exceptional guest experience. The role covers all aspects of railway operations, from pre-opening safety checks to driving the locomotive and performing routine maintenance.
You will report to the Assistant Operations Manager - Attractions and work a 32-hour week on a seven-day rota, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
We are seeking a dedicated Railway Team Member to join ourteam. The Longleat Railway is the 2nd most intensely operated 15inch GaugePassenger Railway in Europe and we are looking for a Railway Team Member tojoin us to support in operating the railway safely at all times and to ensurewe are constantly delivering a fantastic experience to our guests. This is anexciting and unique role covering all aspects of operating the railway.
Reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager - Attractions,you will keep the safety of the train and its passengers at the forefront ofyour attention at all times, and ensure we are constantly delivering afantastic customer service to our guests. You’ll perform all daily pre-openingsafety inspections on the railway and highlight to the supervisor or teamleader any equipment that needs repair, replacing or adjusting. Assist withMaintenance of Locomotives, coaches and track in line with the Company, manufacturerand Health & Safety Standards both mechanically and electrically to insuresafe and efficient operation of the Longleat Railway.
This is a permanent 32 hour contract, with working hours tovary over a 7 day rota basis, including weekends, evening and bank holidays asrequired. The earliest start time is 8am, and the latest finish time is 9pm,varying in accordance with opening times.
