CAF Rolling Stock UK is seeking an experienced Team Leader - Testing to head a fast-paced testing team responsible for rail vehicle testing and release quality. You will drive performance, improve capabilities and ensure production targets are met.

The role demands strong leadership, fault-finding, coaching and a commitment to safety and lean improvement within a manufacturing environment. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifikationen

• Experience leading a team in manufacturing/engineering.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
• Coaching and developing others.

Aufgaben

• Lead and coordinate a team of Test Technicians within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ensure all testing activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with quality standards.
• Carry out on-board testing and fault-finding on rail vehicles prior to release into service.
• Monitor team performance and ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved.
• Support troubleshooting and resolve technical issues in collaboration with Production and Engineering teams.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to build capability and improve performance.
• Deliver team briefings, toolbox talks and support employee inductions.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiency savings and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Ensure accurate completion of testing documentation, reports and records.
• Liaise with management to ensure appropriate resources, equipment and training are in place.
• Support competence assessments and ongoing development of team members.
