Job summary

Alstom Transport Services UK Ltd is seeking a technically skilled engineer to provide exam-based maintenance and fault-finding for the Class 730 fleet at the Milton Keynes/Bletchley depot. You will diagnose electrical and electronic faults and carry out repairs to ensure on-time delivery and fleet reliability.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in electrical trades or equivalent, practical EMU experience, IT proficiency, and a proactive, adaptable approach.

Qualifications

• Electrical NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Practical experience with mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering of EMUs.
• IT proficiency with office software, e-mail and intranet.
• Flexible and adaptable with initiative.
• Self-motivated with value-added activity.

Responsibilities

• Undertake exam based maintenance on the Class 730 fleet.
• Carry out planned and unplanned tasks and fault repairs.
• Provide technical support to depot teams for fault-finding on trains.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
• Record faults, report data and communicate findings.
• Test and re-commission trains per procedures.
