Job summary

Rullion is staffing a Mechanical Fitter role at Manchester Train Care Centre. You will join a team of over 80 professionals on a major overhaul project for Class 390 Avanti High Speed Trains. The role requires time-served apprenticeship or equivalent with mechanical qualifications and UK work rights.

The position operates on days and nights with a 2-week rotation, 48 hours per week on average. PPE, tooling, and on-site facilities are provided.

Qualifications

• Time Served Apprenticeship or equivalent with associated technical qualification NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance
• Right to work in the UK and able to provide proof of qualification
• Live within reasonable travelling distance to Manchester City Centre

Responsibilities

• Work as directed by the Overhaul Production Manager, adhering to safety and quality systems
• Carry out corrective and preventative mechanical maintenance on rolling stock
• Assist in complying with Vehicle Maintenance Instructions (VMI) and safety policies
• Support line of route audits and 5S housekeeping activities
