Job summary

Network Rail is seeking an Asset Inspection Supervisor to support the Section Manager in inspecting, maintaining and renewing assets to standards and within budget. You will supervise work delivery and ensure compliance, contributing to a safer, more reliable railway network.

Salary: £61,103 starting, with additional commitments. Closing date: 6 October 2026. The role requires experience in directing worksites, rail testing and asset condition assessment, and may involve driving as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience directing and supervising worksites.
• Knowledge of rail testing, lubrication inspection and asset condition assessment.
• Willingness to drive vehicles as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and check the quality of work delivered and confirm assets are compliant to standards.
• Carry out work safely and in accordance with the safe systems of work procedures and method statements.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Undertake specific inspections in accordance with standards as directed.
• Prepare work and resource specifications and method statements including Safe System of Work Plans.
• Deliver work in accordance with the relevant maintenance plans.
