Zusammenfassung

Rullion Limited is seeking a Defects Technician to join a rail rolling stock engineering team on a days shift in the UK. You will perform fleet modifications, fault finding, defect rectification, inspections and testing to maintain safety, reliability and availability of the fleet.

The role requires Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with 3–5 years’ rolling stock experience. Strong reading of drawings and manuals, and ability to manage multiple tasks while complying with

Qualifikationen

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Level 4 / HNC in Electrical Engineering (desirable).
• 3–5 years' experience in a rolling stock engineering environment.
• Experience fault-finding on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.

Aufgaben

• Carry out planned rolling stock modifications, engineering changes and technical upgrades.
• Install, remove, replace and commission rolling stock components and systems.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control system faults.
• Investigate defects, identify root causes and complete rectification within timescales.
• Carry out inspections, functional testing and commissioning before release to service.
• Interpret engineering drawings and modification instructions.
• Support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and depot teams to resolve issues.
• Act as an Authorised Person where competent.
