Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Project Manager within the PMCM Rail team to enable delivery of complex rail projects of regional, national, and international significance.

You will oversee safe, high-quality, on-time delivery within budget, collaborating with cross-functional teams across client offices, WSP offices, and sites. The role emphasizes leadership, risk control, and continuous improvement within a flexible, office-based model.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant engineering or management discipline.
• Chartered membership of a relevant professional body, or nearing completion of this status would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate relevant disciplines through project meetings and target-led workshops, enabling issues to be resolved and the project meets safety, functional and regulatory requirements.
• Establish robust processes and procedures to manage the project in conjunction with the client’s team.
• Act as primary point of contact for the client, ensuring needs and expectations are met through both design and construction phases.
• Develop and manage client and stakeholder relationships, through effective listening and influencing skills.
• Compiling monthly project reports and data-based scenarios for senior management clarity.
