Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Project Manager within the PMCM Rail team to enable delivery of complex rail projects of regional, national and international significance. You will ensure safe delivery to high quality standards, on time and within budget, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across offices, client sites and on-site locations.

You will be based in a modern city-centre UK office with flexible working patterns and occasional site visits, contributing to development

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant engineering or management discipline.
• Chartered membership of a relevant professional body, or nearing completion of this status would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate relevant disciplines through project meetings and workshops to meet safety, regulatory and functional requirements.
• Establish robust processes to manage the project with the client’s team.
• Act as primary client contact ensuring needs are met through design and construction phases.
• Develop and manage client and stakeholder relationships with effective listening and influencing.
• Prepare monthly project reports and data-based scenarios for senior managers.
• Engage with regulatory bodies, local authorities and community groups.
• Facilitate regular project meetings, progress reports and presentations.
• Manage changes and delays, ensuring processes are improved and implemented.
