Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Project Manager - Rail Infrastructure (Outside IR35) for the Chippenham area, with flexibility for hybrid working and occasional travel. You will oversee key work packages across the Wales and West portfolio, ensuring safety, programme delivery and margin across full lifecycle.

The role requires proven rail project delivery experience, leadership of multidisciplinary teams and strong commercial oversight to navigate contractual requirements within competitive client

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Engineering, Project Management or related discipline.
• Rail sector experience delivering capital projects in the UK.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong project controls, planning, budgeting and commercial management.
• Ability to manage contractual terms while maintaining margin.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe delivery of allocated work packages and projects to contract specifications, meeting timescales and budget objectives.
• Act as a Safety Leader across projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety obligations.
• Develop relationships with internal teams, suppliers, clients and end-users; work with resource managers to support work packages.
• Track progress using Earned Value analysis, financial controls and project KPIs.
• Identify, analyze and mitigate technical, financial and operational risks proactively.
• Implement Change Management processes for scope, program and budget variations.
• Sponsor initiatives to optimize delivery methods and execution strategies.
