Responsibilities:

• Coordinate work with other contractors and Network Rail.
• Liaise with route engineers (discipline).
• Participate in engineering and development assurance activities to ensure schemes are affordable, meet programme requirements, and are safe and environmentally responsible.
• Review compliance with standards (e.g., NR/L2/CIV/003, NR/L3/CIV/0063).
• Use risk assessment methods (e.g., HAZOP, QRA) to evaluate options.
• Develop and verify engineering solutions and assurance packages.
• Manage engineering interfaces across disciplines.
• Ensure contractors’ design, construction, and personnel competence.

Requirements:

• Ability to undertake the NR/L2/RSE/02009 Project Engineer role.
• Understanding of Construction, Design and Management (CDM) 2015 regulations and CSM 2013 regulations, especially regarding asset protection.
• Knowledge of Network Rail's risk assessment processes, including CSM-RA.
