Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to help deliver rail projects across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

You will support planning, governance, reporting, risk management, document control and stakeholder coordination, while learning from experienced project managers and technical specialists. You will contribute to ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to required quality standards, with increasing ownership of defined tasks and commissions as

Qualifications

• Experience supporting rail, transport, infrastructure, engineering or construction projects.
• Placements, internships or graduate experience in a project or technical environment will be considered.
• Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to maintaining accurate project records.
• Confidence using project schedules, spreadsheets and collaborative document management systems.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple technical and project delivery teams.
• A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project plans, milestone trackers, action logs and risk/issue registers.
• Coordinate inputs from engineering, planning, environmental, commercial and construction teams and ensure timely issuance.
• Prepare progress reports, forecasts and client presentation materials; record decisions and follow up actions.
• Support governance processes, change control, procurement activities and risk management.
• Develop project management capability by taking defined tasks and seeking feedback for professional development.
