Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex rail and transport infrastructure programs across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. You will drive scope, schedule, budget and governance, coordinating engineering, environmental and stakeholder interfaces from development through handover.

You will mentor teams, run client meetings, manage risk and change, and ensure safe design and delivery.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience managing rail or similarly complex transport infrastructure projects.
• Experience working across multidisciplinary design and delivery interfaces.
• Demonstrable experience managing programme, cost, risk, change and client relationships.
• Sound commercial judgement and experience forecasting project outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead project teams and communicate technical matters clearly to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex rail or transport infrastructure projects from early development through design, consents, delivery and handover.
• Direct and coordinate technical teams across rail systems, civil and structural engineering, stations, depots, environment and stakeholder interfaces.
• Manage risk, opportunity, issue and decision registers, while overseeing change, forecasting outturns and applying sound commercial judgement to protect project outcomes.
• Communicate technical and project information clearly to senior stakeholders; lead client meetings and manage relationships with operators, infrastructure managers and contractors.
• Promote safe design and delivery, coordinate assurance and approvals, support bids and fee proposals, and mentor project managers and assistant project managers.
