Job summary

Turner & Townsend is recruiting a Project Controls Manager to lead the controls function on a major rail project from our London office. The role focuses on delivering project controls across plan, cost, safety and performance reporting.

Based in London, the successful candidate will establish control processes, monitor resource and data quality, and ensure alignment with GRIP guidelines. The role requires rail sector experience and a degree in a construction-related subject.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and scheduling, including schedule development, control and analysis.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with PC operating systems and basic software.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction start-up processes.
• Degree in a construction-related subject.

Responsibilities

• Establish effective control processes in compliance with GRIP and the programme controls framework.
• Review new proposals/remits and ensure realistic, resourceable delivery plans.
• Identify resourcing requirements and liaise with planning units to resolve issues.
• Provide day-to-day reporting on plans, costs, safety, environment and performance.
• Ensure data input to cost and performance systems meets data standards.
• Produce the Investment Plan at Territory/Project level as part of the Business Planning Process.
• Comply with the Investment Competence Framework.
