Job summary

PATH Recruitment is seeking a Rail Plant Engineer for a West Midlands role covering site work across the region. The position offers a strong basic salary of £45,000–£50,000 with significant overtime opportunities pushing earnings to £60,000–£70,000, plus a van, fuel card and benefits.

You'll maintain, service and fault-find on road-rail vehicles and specialist rail plant, ensuring equipment stays safe, reliable and operational.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on rail plant or road-rail vehicles.
• PTS Card essential or preferred for site access.
• Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills.
• Experience maintaining and repairing plant or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and fault-find on road-rail vehicles and specialist rail plant.
• Attend sites across the West Midlands to keep machinery safe, reliable and operational.
• Diagnose mechanical/hydraulic faults and perform planned and reactive maintenance.
