PATH Recruitment has a Rail Plant Engineer role in Stoke-on-Trent, offering a base salary of £45,000–£50,000 with overtime opportunity to reach £60,000–£70,000. The position includes a company van and fuel card, Monday–Friday hours, and a strong benefits package.

You will maintain and repair rail plant across sites, with clear scope for overtime. The ideal candidate will have rail plant or road-rail experience, a valid PTS card, a clean driving licence and a safety-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on rail plant or road-rail vehicles.
• Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) card.
• Full driving licence.
• Safety-focused approach with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, repair and fault-find on road-rail vehicles and rail plant.
• Attend sites across the West Midlands to ensure machinery is maintained to a high standard.
• Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic faults and carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Support the wider engineering team as required.
