Job summary

Torrent Trackside is a renowned rail infrastructure supplier providing portable plant and associated trackside services. This permanent role involves driving and hands-on depot work, delivering and collecting rail plant across the region.

You’ll need a Full UK Driving Licence, be physically fit, and able to work flexible shifts. Training for rail/plant duties and safety qualifications is available where required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries preferred.
• Good level of physical fitness required for rail plant tasks.
• Able to pass Network Rail medical prior to employment.
• Confident using mobile devices (PDA/tablet).
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Flexibility with shifts (including nights/weekends).
• Rail or small plant experience preferred; training available.
• Personal Track Safety (PTS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting rail plant to and from customers.
• Check equipment for damages and log findings.
• Use mobile PDA for deliveries and asset tagging.
• Labouring and general yard duties at the depot.
• Night and weekend work may be required, including lighting setup on track.
