Job summary

Kier Rail is seeking an MEP Technical Supervisor to join the Rail team on nationwide projects. You will oversee on-site M&E installations, ensuring they meet drawings, specifications and regulatory standards while upholding quality, safety and environmental requirements.

As the client’s on-site representative, you’ll coordinate with construction teams and subcontractors, conduct inspections, witness testing and maintain detailed site records to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in M&E building services installation, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of building regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements.
• Testing and Commissioning Qualification (C&G 2391 or similar) and CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect M&E/E&P and SISS installations to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Conduct routine and ad hoc inspections, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain detailed site records, including inspection reports, site instructions, and progress photos.
• Oversee, witness and verify testing and commissioning activities to ensure system performance meets design intent.
• Act as the link between the Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination.
