Job summary

RTS Infrastructure, part of Arriva Group, seeks a Contractor's Responsible Engineer (CRE) - Mechanical & Electrical to lead M&E works across rail projects. You will ensure compliance with designs, standards and safety, providing technical leadership and construction assurance through delivery and handover.

The role requires UK travel, site-based work in Leeds with potential national assignments as projects expand, and a company vehicle as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering M&E works in rail infrastructure.
• Ability to communicate engineering requirements to site teams and clients.
• Experience with construction assurance, risk management, and handovers.

Responsibilities

• Act as nominated M&E CRE for allocated projects and packages.
• Provide engineering assurance during construction of M&E works.
• Oversee power distribution, lighting, containment, cabling, earthing, HVAC and fire systems.
• Ensure access to approved drawings, specs and technical information before works begin.
• Guide site teams and escalate engineering risks and interfaces.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary activities across civils, signalling and telecoms.
