Job summary

RTS Infrastructure Ltd seeks an experienced Contractor's Responsible Engineer (M&E) to lead technical assurance across rail infrastructure projects. You will oversee M&E works, coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces and ensure compliance with approved designs and safety standards at site in Leeds and beyond.

Reporting to the Senior Construction Manager, you will guide constructability, review plans, issue technical guidance and manage engineering risks throughout project delivery and handback

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering M&E works in rail infrastructure.
• Suitability for appointment as an M&E CRE-C.
• Knowledge of Network Rail engineering assurance, construction controls and M&E standards.
• Familiarity with CDM Regulations, Work Package Plans, ITPs.
• Ability to communicate engineering requirements clearly to site teams and clients.
• PTS certification where required; CSCS card; full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Act as the nominated M&E CRE for allocated projects and work packages.
• Provide engineering assurance throughout the construction phase of M&E works.
• Oversee power distribution, lighting, containment, cabling, earthing, HVAC, plumbing and fire systems.
• Ensure access to approved drawings, specifications and standards before works commence.
• Coordinate engineering interfaces across civils, signalling, telecoms, structural and architectural disciplines.
• Support site teams with technical guidance and risk management.
• Review and approve method statements, ITPs and QA records from an engineering perspective.
