Job summary

Arriva Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead rail and infrastructure projects from our Leeds-based operations. You will coordinate resources, supervise on-site activities and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery across our portfolio.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you’ll manage subcontractors, liaise with project teams and clients, maintain HSQE documentation and drive continuous improvement on site.

Qualifications

• Experience managing worksites within rail, infrastructure, or construction environments.
• Relevant qualification in Construction or Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of site management and project delivery.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour.
• Familiarity with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions on site.
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and manage site activities to deliver projects safely and on programme.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Supervise site teams to meet required standards.
• Ensure compliance with project specs and client requirements.
• Produce HSQE documentation and drive safety culture.
• Manage variations and assist with commercial recovery.
• Support project completion activities and handover.
