Job summary

Arup is recruiting graduates into the North Rail Team to deliver rail infrastructure design across feasibility, planning and detailed design stages in the UK and Ireland. You will collaborate with specialists from multiple disciplines to produce high-quality technical outputs and support project delivery for major clients.

Qualifications

• Analytical skills to research engineering problems and support design decisions.
• Knowledge of railway systems and associated technologies relevant to rail projects.
• Degree in mechanical, civil, electrical engineering or data science with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design and engineering across rail infrastructure projects from feasibility to detailed design.
• Work within multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate with rail specialists.
• Support production of technical deliverables: drawings, calculations, reports.
• Contribute to UK and international rail programmes and client engagement.
• Develop technical and professional skills through innovative solutions that support decarbonisation and modernisation of rail networks.
