Job summary

Eurostar, based at Temple Mills depot in Leyton, is seeking an Industrial Engineer to enhance maintenance of the rolling stock and ensure fleet safety and compliance across lifecycle. This permanent role offers hybrid work with on-site attendance four days a week.

You will lead VMIs, manage schedules and asset records, drive reliability improvements and collaborate with engineering, depot operations, suppliers and international locations.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years' rolling stock maintenance experience.
• Experience developing or improving maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Understanding of ECM, safety regs and risk assessment.
• Experience with maintenance and asset documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and improvement of Vehicle Maintenance Instructions (VMIs).
• Manage fleet maintenance schedules and asset records for accuracy.
• Drive reliability improvements to reduce downtime and boost availability.
• Collaborate with engineering, depot ops, suppliers and international sites.
• Support tooling, equipment selection and maintenance methods.
• Lead continuous improvement workshops using 5S, RCM and lean methods.
• Conduct maintenance risk assessments and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide engineering support via on-call rota and change management.
